K.J. has over 13+ years of biblical counseling experience. Biblical Counseling is a counseling methodology straight from the Bible. The etymology of psychology comes from the Greek words "psyche", which means mind or spirit, and "logos", meaning the study of.  In Latin it simply translates to "the study of the soul." Sadly, the Church has often outsourced emotional care to "professionals" or methodologies that are manmade. But, emotional health should be cared for by the One who created our soul (mind or spirit). Biblical Counseling, through the use of God's Word, should be the most transformative counseling a person can experience. Biblical Counseling is not the counselor's wisdom or experience, it is not simply putting a "band-aid" on or giving coping methods.

Biblical Counseling is intense discipleship; walking with someone in their crisis, listening, challenging, encouraging, and bringing hope through the authority of God's Word, the Bible. It is getting to the root of the problem so that the person changes from the heart. It is offering hope for the hopeless. It is giving Truth; biblical insight and practical life application. It is true joy, not surface happiness. It is freedom, not regulations. It is LIFE! Only biblical counseling can offer someone true and lasting hope.
